I want to be honest with you, because honesty is the foundation of everything I'm asking for: on medical advice, I am now taking minimal nourishment to sustain this safely. This is not a step back — it is how I make sure I can keep going for as long as Maximilien needs me to.
Nothing about my purpose has changed. Three courts recognized the abduction, granted me sole custody, and ordered my son's return to California — enforceable since February 2025. I am still here, still asking the same question, and I will not stop until those orders are enforced and my son is home.

Day 874 - Resting in AlmatyI'm back in Almaty, and today I'm resting.
After the journey to Astana, my body needs a quieter day. Nothing more to report right now — but nothing has changed in my resolve. Nine days on, 874 days without Maximilien, and I am still here.
Today my only ask is simple: keep sharing. Keep his name moving. Every post, every tag, every question keeps this from being forgotten.

Day 873 — Back from AstanaI was silent yesterday for one reason: I was in Astana.
There were no updates on Day 7's evening or Day 8's morning because I spent the day in meetings — with the Kazakh General Prosecutor's team, and then with representatives of both the United States and French embassies.
I went in weak but clear-headed, and I asked the only question that matters: Where is Maximilien? Gde Maximilien?
I will not report promises to you as if they were progress — I've learned that lesson too many times. What I can tell you is that the right people were in the room, they heard me directly, and the failure to enforce is now impossible for them to claim they are unaware of.
Now the question is whether words in that room become action outside it. I am still on hunger strike. Eight days. My son is still not home.

Let me be clear about why I am still here: this can end at any moment. Not with a promise. With enforcement. Three courts recognized the abduction, granted me sole custody, and ordered Maximilien's return to California — enforceable since February 2025. The day those orders are enforced is the day this ends.

Five days into my hunger strike. 870 days since Maximilien was taken. Three Kazakh courts recognized the abduction, granted me sole custody, and ordered his return to California — enforceable since February 2025. He was located on 24 July, then released 30 minutes before I landed. Since then: meetings, photographs, promises of "48 hours" and "10 days." My autistic son remains without the education, therapy, and stability he needs. Promises are not enforcement. France and the United States: press Kazakhstan to enforce its own court orders. On 24 July 2026, Maximilien was located. Then, thirty minutes before my plane touched down in Almaty, he was released again.
Let that be clear: this is not a case of a child who cannot be found. He was found. And the system let him go.

I want people to understand who is behind these court documents. Maximilien is autistic. For 868 days he has been denied the education, socialization, and appropriate medical care he needs. For a child on the spectrum, stability and routine are not luxuries — they are essential to his wellbeing and development. Every day of this abduction causes lasting harm.
Yesterday brought a real shift. After the hunger strike began, the prosecutor's office told me it is not their role to locate my son and directed me to report daily to the Almaly police station instead. That same morning, Almaty's chief of police ordered an urgent search, I was given a full medical check-up under police and ambulance supervision, and our enforcement agent was summoned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Astana.
After 868 days, the authorities are finally moving. It should not have taken a hunger strike.Update — Day 2 (11 August 2026)
I am continuing my hunger strike. Today marks Day 867 since my autistic son Maximilien was abducted.
I want to make the legal basis of this case unmistakably clear. This is not a custody dispute — it has already been decided. Three separate rulings by Kazakhstan's own courts have:
Recognized that Maximilien was abducted (27 March 2024);
Granted me exclusive custody;
Ordered his return to California.
These rulings have been legally enforceable since February 2025. Over a year later, they remain unenforced, and my son is still denied education, socialization, and appropriate medical care.
My ask is simple: France and the USA must press Kazakhstan to enforce its own court orders.
